Marcus Freeman (born January 10, ) is an American football coach and former linebacker who is the head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
He previously served as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Notre Dame in Freeman also was an assistant coach at the University of Cincinnati, Purdue University, Kent State University, and The Ohio State University.
Freeman played college football at Ohio State and was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round of the NFL draft. He was a member of the Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans, but never appeared in a regular-season NFL game.
